My recently engaged sister is actually planning for
her wedding and that is why we decided to attend the bridal shows in NJ. I have attended a lot of bridal shows till now
and here are the tips that can help you to get the most out of the bridal
shows.
1.
Choose
the show wisely:
You will get basically two types of the bridal
shows. One is the larger expos that happen in the convention centers and the
smaller the localized shows are held in the wedding venues. Every type of show
has its own bests and problems. In the large show like the convention, you have
to encounter different vendors. That is why, I think the expos are best if you
are starting the entire planning process because there is a lot of information.
But, the shows that occur in wedding venues are the best way to experience that
how the venue actually handles the event. Such as if you are interested in some
venue then you can ask if that is hosting the bridal show in the future.
2.
Create
the stickers:
As you are going to visit the different tables, the
vendors will request for the basic contact information. So, you can save your
time by printing the labels with the name, address and wedding date. This will
be the easy way for the vendor to reach you.
3.
Make
the email address for wedding only:
As you know that you are giving the vendors your
email address so it doesn’t mean that you are interested in the long term
contact. Therefore, it is recommended that you must create the separate email
address for the wedding vendors in order to avoid the clutter from the regular
inbox. Such as, my wedding email inbox has nearly 2000 unread emails and I
don’t know how much have still to come.
